My Rose Pins.

You how sometimes a collection begins, you don't start out thinking oh I want to collect this and then a pattern emerges, it starts to grow, it takes on a life of it's own, and then one day you notice, oh my I have a lot of these, well that's what happened to me with my rose pins, just one, isn't that a beautiful color, then, oh oh look at this one, it's on sale and the story goes.....I love them, I wear them....good enough!

I really like the way they look on my girl, they brighten up my room and I see them when I wake up in the morning. I"m pretty sure I have enough, uh yeah, I have plenty. I need to stop now......

I Heart This........

 

Yes I do, I heart this sweet little camera....the size, the color, the vintagyness of it, even the price is good, and you can get it here  urban outfitters I think it has so much more personality then our standard digital cameras, don't you! 

There are such pretty reproduction things today that are really hard to tell they were not from that area, I love the companies are picking up on the love of this look, I don't know if a camera can be romantic but to me, this one definitely is!

One of these cuties is in my future.......

A Great Day of Thrifting.

I had fun this last week hitting garage sales and thrift stores, I found some pretty pictures, vintage lingerie, and some unusual religious figures......those seem to be a popular seller in my booth at Junkee!

I had a wedding and a University mixer this past week as well, it kept me very busy, shopping, cooking, planning and styling.....Yikes!!

This week will be another busy one, I have a bridal shower, a baby shower, and then another wedding the following week-end, not complaining though......41 Taylor is really picking up, I am excited as each month brings a little more business. It's tough sometimes in this slow economy to know what is the right path financially to take, the practical side of me feels like I should be looking for a "REAL JOB" you know one with benefits and paid vacations, believe me I've looked, and looked , and looked some more, over 100 job applications, and no one wants or needs me......soooooo I will keep going with my little Junk booth, markets and parties.....everything I love!

A Work in Progress.

I wanted to share with you a few pictures of my little work space at 41 Taylor, I am still collecting and pulling it all together it doesn't compare to so many I see here in blogland, but it's beginning to take shape for me. It is very girlie, the print sheet that I used on the table that The Other Tracey left for me, was one that I found at a thrift store, and it just happened to be the same print sheet that my Nana had in our girlie bedroom at her house, so it is very sentimental to me, and reminds of my dear sweet Nana every time I work in my room. Well and of course some summer sandal love........

A Little Naughty.

 

ok for some of you, close your eyes and wait for tomorrow's post......I have several photographers I am working with that rent my space to do portraits, Emily Main Photography took these naughty little pictures!

The lovely you see above released these without her face showing so Emily could use the shots for advertising and blogging.....I apologize in advance if this has offended any of you, this is merely to showcase 41 Taylor as a multi=use event lounge. Emily's portfolio is wonderful I hope you will take a peek at her bridal and families......

I have a big wedding I'm doing tomorrow, so I will be posting some pictures of all the weekend happenings, stay tuned.....

Burlap.

I love burlap, the texture, the color, the earthiness of it, it's history.......It shed's I don't love that so much!

Well I decided to try my hand at making some flowers and if I do say so myself, I'm happy with the way they turned out! I put little clips and pins on the backs so that you could add them to a blouse, cardigan or hat,  just about anything your heart desires, I enjoy a good crafting project now and then, and often wish I had more time, perhaps if I organized my time better I might be able to fit it all in......anyway thought you might enjoy a little peak !!

2 Bucks.

Yes, you heard right, 2 bucks, can you believe I got all this ribbon for 2 bucks, the colors are fabulous, varied sizes, I like everything about it! who says you can't find good prices at the thrift stores once in awhile....sometimes you just get lucky! I have been dreaming of all kinds of things I can do with this amazing ribbon!

Happy Fourth of July!!!!!!!

We are so fortunate to live in a country that celebrates our Freedom. I love the 4th, it means BBQ, the Beach, Family, Friends and Good Ole American Fun.....

What do you like to do on the 4th, what are some of your family Fav's.....let me know! I would love to hear about what it means to you.....

Mexican Primrose

I wanted to share some pictures with you of my beautiful Mexican Primrose.....they are taking over the planter and look like a sea of pink, they are a happy little flower, bloom all summer day and night, are drought tolerant and really thrive on neglect, I guess in a word PERFECT! especially for me, I'm like the accidental gardner, I love my yard to look pretty, but with the least amount of time and effort, now don't get me wrong I love to plant pots, but hate pulling weeds....hate mowing the lawn and  we have a lot of it, 1/2 acre of grass that seems to always look a little tired, I'm sure some of you master gardeners are laughing but seriously, it's hideously hot here in No. Nevada in the summer who wants that, I get terrible skin rashes every time a shrub or grass touches my bare skin, so I have to wear jeans, socks, gloves, hat, long sleeves, ok not that much fun in the summer, my poor hubs is the one left to do it all, and he doesn't love it either.....the front yard always looks pretty good, you know keeping up appearances and all, WELL! the back yard thats another story, really more like a dirty little secret, believe me when I work up the courage to shatter my blog world persona I will share some more with you, but for now, I will leave you with yet another flip flop shot, a new pedi and little peak of the front yard......

Show and Tell.

 

Hello.....wanted to share a few pictures with you from my booth at Junkee, It's really many different looks right now, I still carry some of my signature pieces, like jewelry boxes, vanity trays and such, but at Junkee you really have to carry lots of different kinds of things to make money, we get a lot of very young girls and guys coming in so you have to be a litte funky too!

I try to appeal somewhat to everyone's taste and yet still keep the flavor of my own style....its tricky sometimes but makes shopping really fun!

Flip Flop Intervention.

Bet you thought you were going to see some thrifting shots, don't worry you are.....I have decided to come clean.....I love flip flops and tennis shoes, did I say LOVE yes I loooooooooooooove them.....everything about them, having your toes out in the summer is the best feeling ever, and sandals they are so cute, such a girly thing, the more the better I say, you can get a couple of seasons out of them especially here since our summer is so short.

I try to wear a different pair everyday just so I can fit them all in.....this is todays pair after closer inspection it looks like a pedi is in order for this week!

I worked like a dog today getting things priced and down to Junkee.....it's a real smorgasbord of stuff, like grannie's attic I guess....I found some wonderful goodies while visiting my parents last weekend, and my moms new hobby is thrifting for me, am I lucky or what?
